Tammy Silver is a quilt designer and teacher from Acworth, Georgia. She has quilted since  1991 and self-publishes her quilt patterns under the label Tamarinis.

She sees herself as an improviser; however, she sells patterns and works with companies that  sell quilting supplies, such as Aurifil thread and major fabric manufacturers including Northcott  and Fabri-Quilt. Her quilt designs have been featured in quilt magazines including Quilt,  McCall's Quilting, American Patchwork and Quilting, and Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting.

Tammy is married with grown children and has a "grumpy dog" and "fat cats". Find out more  about Tammy on her website, YouTube videos, and Instagram.

Tammy will lecture on "Aurifilosophy" at our regular meeting on Tuesday, October 5. She is  representing Aurifil Threads. She will have a Pop-Up Shop with items for purchase at that  meeting.

The pattern for the paper piecing workshop, "Christmas Cactus", will be available at that time.  If you choose to purchase it that day, notice that Tammy would like you to preprint copies of  the pattern and to cut your fabric per the instructions in the pattern before class on  Wednesday. Should you choose to purchase the pattern earlier to allow you more time for  prior preparation, you can purchase it directly from Tammy via her website:

www.tamarinis.com or Questions: tamarinis@att.net

The cost of the pattern is $12 and Tammy requests that each attendee to her workshop  purchase one and make appropriate copies per her instructions on the supply list.

Tammy has agreed to discuss her reasons for the choice of paper piecing that she uses during  the workshop. She will not teach any method which is copyrighted by another artist and which  she does not have permission to teach from that artist.
