Lake Oconee Quilt Guild Newsletter
December 2019
The Guild Meeting and Luncheon will be Tues, Dec 3, at the Lutheran Church.
In this issue:

RAFFLE TABLE - Anneleas Greene & Sonya Winterrowd

There will not be a Raffle Table at the December meeting.

As we finish up a month known for thankfulness, I have been reminded of all that I have to be thankful for; I am truly blessed!

Thank you so much to Pattie Chapman and the Quilts of Valor team for the wonderful presentations at the November meeting. The stories of each of the Servicemen, along with their personal thanks, brought tears to my eyes.  And, as always, I say thank you to those who attended and to those who provided refreshments as part of the celebration.

During the afternoon pillow painting program, I discovered two things:  #1, Poinsettias are beautiful until I try to paint one!  #2, I need to stick with quilting rather than painting!  In all seriousness, the painting workshop led by Jane Harding was so organized!  Jane definitely has wonderful artistic talent, paired with patience for those like me!  I will certainly enjoy having my seasonal pillow to remind me of painting with pals.  Thanks to Shari and Theresa for getting the workshop lined up.  I am looking forward to the upcoming programs and workshops in the New Year.

As we approach Christmas, I want to wish each of you a wonderful season blessed with happy times with family and friends!
