Activities

The Lake Oconee Quilt Guild presents Members with many interesting activities each year.  During the course of a regular monthly meeting, Members and visitors learn about the latest Challenge Project and receive updates to the year’s schedule of Programs and Workshops.  Competition for the limited spaces available in these popular classes is often keen, which requires Members to line up quickly to register and reserve their space.

One of the most meaningful activities during the Guild Year, is the production and presentation of Quilts of Valor.  As these quilts are completed, they are displayed during regular monthly meetings, and later  presented to Veterans during appropriate ceremonies.

As Members create and display their quilted creations during the year, the momentum builds toward the March Retreat.  As if an exciting lineup of programs during the year wasn’t sufficient, the Programs Team excels yet again by preparing additional fun for Members who attend the Retreat. There is just never a lag in having someone to see and something to do. So much fun!!

On the following pages you will find details pertinent to this year's activities.
